Practice Areas Mr. Curry advises businesses on all phases of a venture's life cycle, including business planning, formation, financing, governance, regulatory compliance, employment, leasing, real estate, reorganization, and asset management issues. He also is accepting cases in the following areas: bankruptcy, securities litigation, complex commercial litigation, civil rights enforcement, personal injury, and products liability matters. Experience Mr. Curry has experience representing a fair housing center in federal litigation enforcing the Fair Housing Act, and advising a broker-dealer and public and private limited partnerships in several ways, addressing issues ranging from compliance to business planning and finance. He also has represented clients involved in bankruptcy proceedings, and personal injury matters. Mr. Curry was previously associated with a firm practicing in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, business litigation, dispute resolution, and commercial law. Before that, he worked at a firm as a litigator, handling all aspects of cases involving insurance defense work, including governmental liability, general negligence, personal injury, premises liability, trucking and auto liability, insurance coverage, construction defects, and commercial litigation issues. While in law school, Mr. Curry was a work-study intern with Morgan Stanley & Co., Incorporated in New York City. While there, he assisted with a successful defense in a multimillion dollar securities arbitration, and absorbed a tremendous amount of know-how regarding the legal issues confronting corporate counsel at a global financial services company. Such issues included the ethical rules surrounding soft dollar arrangements between the Firm and hedge funds, and the legal implications of awarding a finder’s fee in a sovereign global debt offering. Following law school, Mr. Curry completed international commercial arbitration and comparative corporate governance course work at the Cornell University Law School Paris Summer Institute. Other Experience Prior to law school, Mr. Curry successfully launched an Internet healthcare company. In that effort, he handled many issues ranging from the registration and marketing of a private placement of securities, to patent and trademark work, employment matters, the development and launch of a proprietary web application, and marketing the business. After graduating from college, Mr. Curry had opportunities to try out for teams in the National Football League. He attended the 1996 New England Patriots rookie camp, the 1997 New Orleans Saints veteran camp, and the 1997 New York Football Giants rookie camp. In 1998, Mr. Curry was signed by the Oakland Raiders to a contract. Education Mr. Curry graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, Amherst College, and Phillips Academy - Andover. Mr. Curry is licensed to practice law in Florida and the District of Columbia. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Florida Supreme Court, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, and all state courts in Florida and the District of Columbia. Mr. Curry is a member of the American Bar Association, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court. He was appointed to the Business Law Committee and Technology Law Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association for the 2009-2010 term. In 2009, Mr. Curry was chosen to serve as a Special Prosecutor in the State Attorney's Office in the 15th Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County.
